Citrus sensation a great way to start your morning!
Winter brings so much fresh colourful produce to brighten up the day! The weather may not be to my liking but there are plenty of delicious fruits and vegetables in season. I got these fruits from the markets so I am going to make a juice. I love to give my body a burst of goodness, this one is perfect for this time of year to help the immune system, high in Vitamin C, Bioflavaonoids, antioxidants and Fibre. Its important to consume some raw produce this time of year, mix it up between fresh and cooked foods for a balance of nutrients.
Citrus sensation Method- squeeze the juice from 3 oranges, 1 red ruby grapefruit and 1/2 lime add 50ml of chilled water, 2 dates (take the stones out) blend well, drink with in 1 hour.
