Summer vitamin C twist

I love cherries, they are in season at the moment along with so many other fruits. I have been adding cherries to fruit salads, and my smoothies. Cherries are high in Vitamin C, bioflavonoids, antioxidants and vitamin A, the combination of cherries and lemon in water will give you a hit of nutrients,  also hydrate and alkalize your body.

It tastes great and will keep you away from sweet drinks or looking for sugar. A great replacement for alcohol, this combination is refreshing and looks so pretty with crushed ice in a fancy glass! I love drinking mocktails in summer, I always thank myself the next morning!

This will take no time to make- cut 3 cherries in half, remove the stone, squeeze the cherry between your fingers and add fruit to a big glass of chilled water, with 2 lemon wheels, watch the colour from the cherry swirl as it merges with the water presenting a pretty nutritious drink!
